Unlike many other drivers, Keszthelyi didn’t train from early childhood, had never taken part in races nor did she have any experience with cars in general. She started racing in the Touring Car category at the age of 12. Her first international race at Hungaroring brought her first place in the female rating, second place among juniors and third place overall. At her first race with OXXO Motorsport she was the fastest female competitor at Ko-Mi Cup, and finished in 4th in junior category. This was her 5th time sitting in a race car.

In 2014, Keszthelyi competed in Swift Cup Europe series with a special license. In junior category she finished 3rd and earned the 6th place overall. Suzuki Cup Austria’s promoter invited her to a race, where she finished 4th in adult men’s field. In 2015, she competed in Swift Cup Europe series, finishing 3rd overall, 2nd in junior and 1st in ladies.

After Audi noticed Vivien’s talent in 2015, she was invited for the factory’s test to Germany. She managed to perform so well that she could start that next season as the member of Audi Sport Racing Academy.

In 2016, Keszthelyi competed in the Hungarian championship of FIA Central European Zone Trophy. She started the first racing weekend with two podiums. In June at Pannónia Ring she won all three races in her own category with two seconds and finished third in overall ranking. In this weekend she achieved her 50th podium finish in her 50th race. In August at Slovakiaring she won twice in her category and finished twice 2nd in overall rating, moreover she won the endurance race. In September at Brno Masaryk Circuit she won twice overall, running the fastest laps in both races. At the endurance race she finished 1st in her category and second overall. On this race weekend she won the Hungarian championship title in the -2000 category, three races before the end of the season. On the last race weekend of the season she won all three sprint races plus the endurance race in her category at Hungaroring. With this she achieved her 60th podium finish on her 60th race. Among them are 25 wins.

In 2017, she started racing in Audi Sport TT Cup. She was unlucky during the first two rounds as she struggled with technical problems and crashes in the strong international field. She scored her first points with her 8th place on the second race of round three at Norisring. In the fourth round at Zandvoort she finished the first race in 11th and the second race in 12th position respectively and scored further 16 points. In the 5th round of the series at Nürburgring she was 9th on the first race but did not finish the second due to a crash. Two weeks later at Red Bull Ring she scored 9 points with finishing 10th on the first race. On the season ending weekend at Hockenheim she finished 8th and 12th and finished the championship on 13th position with 65 points.

In October 2017 she joined the Dare to be Different (#D2BD) programme what is inspired by Susie Wolff and intended to help young women and girls who dream their future in any field of motorsport, either as a driver, competition engineer or team leader.

From her first car racing salary she immediately started supporting charitable purposes.
Her choice were an internationally well-known and acknowledged foundation and a Hungarian-based one. Thus she is a personal sponsor of Hungarian National Committee for UNICEF and the sport ambassador of Smile Foundation (Mosoly Alapítvány).
She also loves animals, therefore she adopted a white tiger and a panda at WWF to call attention to endangered animal species.

Besides car racing, Vivien plays the piano and loves horse-back riding.
