Official: Vivien Keszthelyi will be among the top 19 pilots in Misano

W Series announced on Tuesday that its official reserve driver, Vivien Keszthelyi is going to be ont he grid among the 19 best female pilots of the world in Misano. Thanks to the excellent performance of the young talent so far, she is now given the opportunity to prove herself for the second time as the youngest member of the field.

As the official, contracted reserve driver of the female single-seater series, the Hungarian pilot has attended every single test and race weekend so far, and with her performances so far, she even won the right to compete in the second race in Zolder. Thus, the sensational news three days before the third race weekend is not surprising.

The race track will not be unknown for Keszthelyi as she got to know to the Misano circuit last year in the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup. That time she left Italy with valuable points, which helped her clinch the championship title in the rookie category making her the youngest three-time touring car champion in the world.

Despite the lack of formula experience, Keszthelyi paves her way among the top 20 female pilots of the world every week. Unsurprisingly she was extremely happy when she heard the news, and she stressed the results of hard work before the third round of the W Series:

“I am honoured to be able to compete again as I have the least formula experience in the field of drivers. In this season’s F3 Asian Championship Winter Series I did my best to gain as much experience as possible, and I feel I was prepared for the W Series. As the reserve driver of the championship I worked tirelessly to run better and better laps with the car, and the hard work paid off again.”
