Vivien Keszthelyi became the best female racing driver of the year
Vivien Keszthelyi was voted as the best Hungarian female racing driver of 2019 by the Hungarian Motorsport and Formula Magazine. The 19-year-old pilot was acknowledged due to her successful season in which she broke several records on two continents in Formula 3.
The young driver took part in the FIA F3 Asian Championship Winter Series in the beginning of the year, where she participated in nine races. With this achievement she became the first ever Hungarian female pilot to reach the international F3 category.
She continued the season in Europe, where he was selected among the top 20 female pilots of the world in the W Series. Vivien also scored a point in the first international all female single seater championship, making her the most successful driver in the history of Hungarian motorsport in terms of points earned in the first Formula 3 season.
“Thank you for the recognition. It is a great pleasure for me that – despite my lack of Formula 3 experience – I managed to get so many points and successfully introduce myself in the international Formula category” – said Vivien Keszthelyi.
She added that she would like to continue her preparations for the 2020 season as much as she can. “Despite the increasing challenges, I want to prepare myself successfully. I will continue to work hard for my goals” – said the young pilot.
It is not known yet where the talented driver will continue in the next season. The decision will be announced in a press conference in Hungary later this year.
